What is the Police Clearance System?

The PNP Clearance is an official system managed by the Philippine National Police. It is an official process that issues a Clearance Certificate to verify that an individual has no criminal record or pending criminal cases in the Philippines. The clearance certificate is required for employment, visa applications, business permits, and other legal matters.

To obtain the clearance certificate, applicants have to register the account, book an appointment, and pay the fees through the PNP’s secure portal. Once done, applicants visit the police station on the appointment day for biometric data capture, such as fingerprinting and photography.

After the successful verification, the certificate is issued within 15 to 20 minutes. The certificate remains valid for six months. You must complete the clearance certificate renewal after the validity period.
